COVID-19 - We're prepared
We are writing to let you know about the steps we are taking to safeguard service and policyholder support in response to COVID-19. We are prepared for remote working, should that become necessary.
Safeguarding service and policyholder support
We are monitoring guidance on travel and working practices to protect the wellbeing of our staff and maintain customer service. We have business continuity measures specific to the situation and our claims and underwriting operational teams are distributed across the UK and Ireland with a shared workflow. Staff are ready and equipped to work from home securely.
Our infrastructure is distributed and load-balanced across several data centres. We work with our infrastructure providers to proactively manage risk and capacity.
Existing meetings or travel arrangements
At this stage we will not be taking action to cancel existing meetings or ban business travel. We will however consider each on a case by case basis, and whether travel or face to face meeting arrangements are absolutely necessary, or can be executed remotely via conference call or web meeting.
If we are due to meet with you, we would appreciate if you could let us know whether you or your colleagues are symptomatic or have recently travelled to an area with a higher risk of coronavirus (or plan to do so), as listed by the NHS:

We will of course do the same.
Next steps
We will provide further updates should the situation change, but at this time we do not anticipate any disruption to service delivery or support.
