Home cyber cover now embedded as standard in Premier (HNW) and Amethyst (MNW) Private Client home insurance policies

Following on from the launch in October of our newly revamped market leading Premier (HNW) and Amethyst (MNW) Private Client home insurance products, we are delighted to announce that home cyber cover is now embedded as standard in both policies.

Why is cyber insurance important?

It is now widely reported that criminals are exploiting the opportunities to profit from our ever increasing connectivity to the wireless world. Technology which is deemed essential now leaves us all vulnerable to incidents such as:

- Telephone hacking
- WiFi device hacking
- Phishing scams
- Ransomware attacks
- Social media slander

These incidents can cause financial loss, physical loss as well as reputational loss or damage.

The cover

The home cyber section covers the policyholder against cyber home systems damage, cyber crime and cyber online liability. Premier covers the client up to £100,000 and Amethyst up to £50,000 in total during any one period of insurance.

Cover is provided in partnership with HSB Engineering Insurance, who have a wealth of experience in this sector in the private US market.

The cover will now automatically apply to all new Premier and Amethyst quote submissions. For existing policies the cover will automatically apply for renewals dated 1st June onwards. If you currently have a new business or renewal quotation outstanding but not yet incepted, you can request for the cover to be added.
