We know there’s no such thing as a ‘typical’ risk - every client’s home insurance needs are unique we individually underwrite every case.

There are no computers or rigid underwriting criteria driving our decisions; when you ask us for a quote we’ll work with you to provide terms where most other insurers can’t.

We like to say ‘yes’ when others say ‘no’

We look for reasons to say ‘yes’, where our competitors say ‘no’. This is why brokers choose us for their clients every day, and one of the reasons we’ve been voted a ‘Top 10’ personal lines insurer by our brokers for the last four years in a row in the Insurance Times Broker Service Survey.

So whenever you see risks that don’t meet the ‘one-size-fits all’ approach of the ‘standard’ insurers, make sure we see them too.

Amethyst
Until recently, Amethyst our Defaqto, 5-star rated worldwide “All Risks” home insurance policy was only available for ‘clean risks’. Now, provided your client has contents of £75,000 or more, you can choose Amethyst in situations that require flexibility in the underwriting due to non standard elements to the risk.

Flex
We've reduced the minimum premium for Flex - which caters for clients with non standard needs who are finding it difficult to obtain home insurance - from £400 to £200 and introduced a new lower £100 excess option too – the previous minimum excess was £250.

HomeWorks
As well as HomeWorks - our specialist product for homeowners who are renovating refurbishing or extending their homes - we now offer HomeWorks for Landlords for clients who are carrying out extensive extension projects and renovations on properties they are going to let once work is complete.
